Joseph J. Butchko, a pioneer miner of this city died at his home on South Illinois street last evening at 9:10 o'clock of a complication of disease after an illness of three months duration.
The deceased was born in Austria June 24, 1853, and has resided in this city for the past 30 years following the occupation of miner.
The deceased was married in Austria in 1882.
Surviving is his wife and five children--Mrs. Joan Hudrick, Mrs. H. McMullen of Streator, John of Stanton, Anna and Sabina at home.
The funeral servcies will be held at St. Stephen's church Monday morning at 9 o'clock; interment in St. Stephen's cemetery.
