Throughout his life, Raymond served 30 faithful years in the United States Army JAG Corps. He enjoyed things such as bowling, the San Antonio Spurs basketball team and Sudoku. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Alice Ethel Cole; former spouse, Renae Cole; and partner Gloria Shoaf.
