Hilda Look (née Kautz), born in Leipzig, Bessarabia on May 17, 1916, died in Kelowna, BC on October 22, 2006.
Hilda was orphaned at the approximate age of one-and-a-half years. She immigrated to Canada in 1927 with her brother and his family and her sister Louise. She married Frederick Look on February 3, 1935 and they farmed in the Craigmyle, Alberta area until 1953. They then lived in Calgary until 1971, and then they lived on a homestead at Valleyview, Alberta. They moved to Kelowna, BC in 1980.
Her husband Frederick died in November 1990. Hilda is survived by her son Benjamin (Carol); daughter Irene Boman (Eric); two grandsons: Waldemar Kohls (Julie) and Richard Boman; great-grandson Matthaeus Kohls and great-granddaughter Rebekkah Kohls.
Graveside Service held on October 27, 2007 at at Mountain View Cemetery.
