Nita was one of eleven children, eight sisters including her and twin sister Rita. She grew up in Irwin and Swan Valley and moved to Lincoln to go to school; there she met Melvin Beasley, they fell in love and that ended her school days, which she didn't mind at all since she was not a big fan of school! She and Melvin got married on June 4, 1941, in Pocatello; they lived in the house that they built on May Street for over 60 years. Beside being a mother and homemaker, she worked as a housekeeper at Westbank Motel in Idaho Falls for nearly 30 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked in the Cub Scout organization. She was a wonderful homemaker, canning from the garden. Everyone loved her raspberry jam, homemade chicken noodle soup, sourdough bread and pancakes! Nita was very passionate about her oil painting and was a well known artist throughout her family and friends. She loved camping, fishing, riding horses and spending time with her family and friends. Nita always had a lot of visitors, which she loved! She loved planting pink and white petunia's in front of the house for all to see. Survivors included: sons Bruce M (Joan) Beasley of Ellis and Devon L (Julie) Beasley of LaCenter, WA; daughters Jody Jolene (Tom) Anderson of Rigby and Kelley Arletta (Kent) Chaffee of Rigby, ID; sister Helen and brother Conroy; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; preceded by both husbands, sisters Elmina, Lucetta, Shirley, Rita, Billie and Renee and brothers William and Fred. Funeral services held Saturday, February 20th at Wood Funeral Home East
