Mary "Fran" Briggs, 74, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2021 at her home.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel, with the Rev. Tim Sapp officiating.

"Fran" was born on July 12th, 1946 in Forsyth County to Chester Arnold Peddycord and Hester Alley Peddycord. She was a dedicated and knowledgeable real estate agent throughout the Triad and had a love for what she did. Anyone that knew Fran knew just how much she loved her family. She loved watching racing on Sunday afternoons. Some of her favorite pastimes would be water skiing at Belews Creek or the many trips she took with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister and her husband of 38 years, Douglas E. Briggs.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Angela Kirby; sons, Danny Briggs and wife Deborah, and Jeffery Briggs; Two granddaughters whom she raised, Stephanie Gillen and husband Ray, Amanda Latour and husband David; granddaughters, Lauren Henderson and husband Jacob, Ali Briggs and Emma Briggs; great-grandchildren, Madison, Ray and Christina Gillen, Kegan and Trace Latour and Linley and baby Henderson.
