She was born in Jackson County, NC on June 16, 1934, to the late Phillip Arthur Trantham and Octia Buchanan Trantham.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 53 years, Joe Keith "Jokie" Robinette; her siblings, Thelma Jane Trantham, Edith "Ted" Grimsley, Catherine Poole, Sara Evelyn Dills, Ernest Trantham, Gene Trantham, Carl Trantham, and Faye Hayes.
Survivors include children, Calvin Francis (Vickie) Payne Jr; Clara Faye Robinette Young, Timothy Keith (Kathy) Robinette; grandchildren Tammy Reep, Travis (Emily) Payne, Todd (Kelly)Payne, and Chase (Kayla) Payne; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kyle, Katie, Garren, Daniel, Corey, Christopher, Wyatt, and Bailey; step-grandchildren Kim, Julie, Scott; several step great-great and several nieces and nephews; brother, John William Trantham, and sister, Carrie Ruth Taylor.
