Imogene was born July 13, 1924 near Big Flat, Arkansas to Edward Conley and Alma (Rorie) Conley.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a charter and founding member of the Mt. Joy Baptist Church. She loved her family and was a loving homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her flower garden and when people came to visit, they always left with a bouquet. She also enjoyed making crafts. She worked as a nurse's aide at the Stone County Nursing Home and also worked at the local shirt factory.
She is survived by her son, Shelby Canard and wife Brenda of Mtn. View, a daughter, Norene Canard Rhodes and husband Everett of Delavan, Illinois; two grandchildren; Natalie Canard of Conway And Nicole Rhodes of Morton, Illinois. She is also survived by her sisters; Lorene Brownlow, Helen Kennedy, Virgie Douthit, Dorothy Pasley, Lillie Rozenboom, Nola Hawkins, Venida Martin and Janis Douglas and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Canard; her parents and a set of Newborn twin sisters.
Visitation is 6 - 8 p.m, Monday, October 22, 2007 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View (870)269-3210.
Funeral service is 2 p.m, Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View with Reverend Dr. James E. Zini and Bro. Leon Burns with interment in Mt. Joy Cemetery, Mountain View, AR.
Pallbearers are Bob Davis, Jeff Douglas, Merle Dotson, Ronnie Dotson, Richard Snook III and Nicholas Karnes.
