Mrs. Ada Buchanan, 89, of High Point died on Nov. 4, 2020 at Hospice Home at High Point. She was born May 6, 1931 in Chester, South Carolina. She was daughter to Melvin Louis Samuels and Eula McManus Samuels. She was an active member of Community Bible Church in High Point. In August 1953, she married Gerald Reid Buchanan at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Washington, DC. In addition to her parents and her husband Jerry, she was preceded in death by her daughter Jenali Marie Davis, as well as her sisters Esther Collins, Mary Cornwell, Alice Proctor, Helen Blackwell, and brothers Henry Samuels and Jack Samuels.

Surviving are a daughter Barbara Eller and husband Tom of High Point; six grandchildren, Steven Davis (Sarah), Dana Miller (Jimmy), Katie Hambright (Scott), David Eller (Catie), Michael Davis and Melissa Faulkner (Vance). Also surviving are 14 great-grandchildren — the Pride and Joy of her life — Carson Davis, Connor Davis, Jenali Miller, Charlotte Miller, June Elizabeth Miller, Maggie Miller, Lily Hambright, Owen Hambright, Annie Hambright, Thomas Eller II, Michael Buchanan “Buck” Eller, Adelaide Eller, Vance Faulkner Jr. and Mary Clare Faulkner. Also surviving is a sister, Jean Marshall.
