Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mills Cemetery. Arrangements are by Williams Funeral Directors.
Corrine Adkins Wells was born Nov. 20, 1938, and passed away Oct. 19, 2007. Corrine was raised in Amarillo and the surrounding area. She was a graduate of Amarillo High School. She worked as a secretary for several years and also worked as a buyer in the World Trade Center in Dallas and owned a small framing store, Johnathan's, in Lancaster. She enjoyed her family, friends, volunteering, great artwork, traveling abroad, good music and laughter. She instilled a sense of grace in everyone she met.
Her last breath on earth was her first breath in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, John W. Wells; her parents, Odis and Faye Adkins; and a sister, Shirley Photidies.
Survivors include her loving daughters, Julie Doerfler and husband Matthew and Stacy Dariel Coker from her first marriage to Dr. Joel R. Coker; a grandson, Preston Doerfler; a granddaughter, Emma Doerfler; a brother, Marvin Adkins; and a sister, Sharon Forbes and husband Joe.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday prior to the graveside service at the funeral home.
