He was born on August 12, 1931 near Clayton, NM, the son of Irvin Richard Gibson and Voyed (Parmenter) Gibson.
Carrol was a tree trimmer and worked for National Gypsum in Medicine Lodge, KS.
Surviving are his wife Anita (Carpenter) Gibson of Hesston, KS, four sons, Jason (Monica) Gibson of Medicine Lodge, KS, Miles (Janet) Gibson of Dodge City, KS, Sidney (Linda) Gibson of Longmont, CO, and Tony Leon of Medicine Lodge, KS; two brothers, Gail Gibson of Littleton, CO and Calvin Gibson of Wichita, KS; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Carrol was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Quinton Gibson, one daughter, Annette Leon, three sisters, Lorene, Kate and Shirley, five brothers, Donald, Eldon, Cecil, Earl, and Milton, two grandsons, Riley Gibson and Alex Leon and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, KS with Pastor Tom Walters officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, KS.
