Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Turner, age 79, resident of Duck Hill, were held Tuesday, April 12, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. at Duck Hill Baptist Church. Officiating ministers were the Revs. Lloyd Sweatt and Norris Corley. Burial was in Duck Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner died of a stroke Sunday, April 10, at Grenada Lake Medical Center in Grenada.

She was a homemaker, a member of Duck Hill Baptist Church, and the widow of the late James Turner.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Ann Morgan of Grenada; her son, Max Walters of Moore, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mrs. Lurine Smith and Mrs. Doris Merrill, both of Coldwater, and Mrs. Dorothy DePoister of Booneville; four grandsons; and one great-grandson.

Serving as pallbearers were Elmo Branch, Norman Ezell, Charles Holmes, G.C. McAnally, Wayne Hamilton, and Sid Leverette.

Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
