Minnie Parrott was a daughtedr of James Landan Parrott 1872 – 1943 and Charlottie "Lottie" Lawson 1881 – 1961. In a wedding ceremony on Nov. 21, 1910 Minnie became the wife of Ancel Orum Parrott. From this marriage the following known children were born: Dennis Paul Parrott 1912 – 1985; John Fredrick Parrott 1913 – 1999; Phyllis Christine Parrott 1916 – 1965; Mattie Mae Parrott 1918 – 1997; Dolly Vera Parrott 1922 – 1976 and Billy Parratt 1937.

The 1940 census revealed that thier farm was in rural Hawkins Co., between Grassy Valley And Lee Valley. Both Minnie and Ancel had completed the 8th grade in elementry school. Ancel's brother, Jim Parrott 32, and a widowed aunt, Blanch Bush 60 were living with them.

March 18, 1962 was a very sad day for Minnie and her children. Their beloved Husband and father, Ancel Orum Parrott passed away. Ancel's grief stricken family chose a burial plot in the Creechs Chapel Cemetery in Whitesburg, Tennessee, in the Lower Section, and gathered there to bid their dear Ancel farewell.

ON July 18, 1975 Minnie exhaled her last breath and her spirit returned to the Lord and maker. Her family and friends gathered again in the Creechs Chapel Cemetery, where she Rests in Peace beside her beloved Ancel. (bio by Audrey DeCamp Hoffman)
