Daughter of Solomon Simon Walker and Mary Elizabeth Perrin. Married John William "Willie" Bolden 5 Jul 1916 in Gloucester, Va. He died 8 Mar 1929 of tuberculosis. She married James Edward Coles 27 Jan 1962 in Gloucester, Va.

Loney Walker Coles

Gloucester - Loney Walker Coles, 102, a native of Gloucester, died Friday, June 29, 2001. She was a member of First Morning Star Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Arthur Coles of Hampton; four daughters, Margaret Drummond, Carrie Gray, Anna McCant and Frances Gray; a stepdaughter, Gertrude Coles; 53 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great- grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Anthony Ellis at 2 p.m. today at First Morning Star Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Gloucester Fields Cemetery. The family will assemble at the church at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Coles will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Viewing was held 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Howard Funeral Home.
