Marjory Leland Adams Blackstock, 102, lately of Corpus Christi, Texas, died on March 11, 2021, at a private care home.

Services will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 in the Chapel at Stumpff Funeral Home, 1600 SE Washington Blvd, Bartlesville, OK. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, OK. She will be laid to rest beside her first husband, James Clyde Adams, who died in Bartlesville on May 7, 1958.

Arrangements by Stumpff Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow the service.

Mrs. Blackstock was born on December 4, 1918 in rural Sumner County, Kansas near Geuda Springs to Harry Swan and Priscilla Brown Leland. She graduated from Geuda Springs High School in 1936. Raised on Christian values and hard work, she moved from her family's farm in 1937 to attend (now) Cowley County Community College, graduating with an Associate's Degree in 1939. She worked in Arkansas City for an attorney until September 1941 when she moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma and began working for Phillips Petroleum Company. On November 1, 1945 she married James C. Adams, from Birmingham, Alabama, at Coffeyville, Kansas. After his discharge from the Army Air Corps in March 1946, they moved to Birmingham for a few months before returning to Bartlesville to establish their home and careers. Three children were born to this union, Alice Sue, Joyce Linda and James Leland Adams. After her husband's death, she continued to work for Phillips and saw all three children graduate from college.

On November 17, 1973 Marjory married W. B. "Woody" Blackstock and they both retired from Phillips in March 1978. Married for more than 30 years, they enjoyed an active retirement together until Woody's death on February 17, 2004, traveling in many foreign countries and fishing all the way from Newfoundland, Canada to Alaska and Mexico. Marjory won several Master Angler Awards. Together they shared a passion for gardening and hosting family and friends. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Bartlesville, OK for many decades. Through the years she enjoyed sewing, reading, needlework, and making peach pies. Following Woody's death she moved to Houston, Texas, close to her two daughters. She joined South Main Baptist Church and spent time enjoying her growing family. In July 2019 she moved to Corpus Christi, Texas to live with her son and his wife, James and Wrene Adams. Marjory's kindness combined with a no-nonsense approach to life, respect for others, dedication to the church, and loving and unwavering family focus consistently informed her world view and guided her activities.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mildred Leland Woods (Thoburn), brother, Harold Brown Leland (Doris), and two nephews, Calvin Earl Woods (Joycelyn) and Keith Royce Leland (Carol).

She is survived by her three children, Alice Adams Ketchand (Robert), Joyce Adams Doyle (James), James Leland Adams (Wrene), and a step daughter, Ruth Ann Blackstock Grant (John); six grandchildren, Peter Leland Ketchand (Deanna), Margie Attie Ehlers (Tom), Erin Doyle Rollings (Ryan), Kevin James Doyle, James Matthew Adams, Jill Adams Williams, and two step grandchildren, Laura Jennifer Grant (Kevin Feldis), and Derek Blackstock Grant (Amy Smith); eleven great-grandchildren, Ella Rose, Luke James, and Zachary John Ketchand; Naomi Grace and Robert Arthur Ehlers; Zebulon Doyle, Lizzy Doyle, and Jane Doyle Rollings; James Cameron and Brett Samuel Alexander Adams; Kaylani Marie Phillips and Chloe Ann Williams; and three step great-grandchildren, Kadin Grant, Taz Hawkins, and Kiana Mae Feldis; four nieces, Patricia Woods Anderson (Jack), Carolyn Leland Wilson, Shari Leland Kennedy (Doug), and La Margaret Adams Howard; a nephew, Gary Leland; and several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
