Kerry "K.C." Charles, age 61, a resident of Houston, TX (Sunnyside Community) and native of Charenton, LA passed away on Thursday January 14, 2016.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until funeral services at 12 Noon, on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church 1262 Bobtown Road Charenton, LA. Rev. Paul Godfrey will officiate the services. Burial will follow services in the Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery in Charenton, LA.
An avid truck driver for many years, prior to being disabled. His hobbies included tilling God's green earth and caring for it's many friends. Kerry was also an avid carpenter and small engine mechanic. He leaves cherished thoughts with his wife of 27 years, Bettye Anderson Charles; three children, Kerry Frank Kimbro Charles, Derek Wayne Charles and Kerrie Michelle Davis all of Houston, TX; four brothers, Cleveland Charles, Jr. of Charenton, LA, Leroy Charles of Franklin, LA, Carl Charles of New Iberia, LA and Louis Charles of Baldwin, LA; seven sisters, Gladys Lefleur (Herbert), Carolyn Charles and Anna (Kenny Perry, Sr.) all of Charenton, LA, Rose Rubbins of Sorrel, LA, Cynthia Bell (John Wells) of Franklin, LA, Evane Charles (Leroy Hubbard) of New Orleans, LA and Pamela Bowser (Shawn) of Lafayette, LA and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends in both Louisiana and Texas.
Kerry was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland "BC" Charles and Almeta S. Charles and one sister, Bonnie Bell.
