Services for Bertha McClure Porter, 88, of Huntington, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 16, 1996, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. E. K. Quarles officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery.
Mrs. Porter was born on December 14, 1907, in the Ora Community, Angelina County, Texas; and she died on Tuesday, August 13, 1996 in a Lufkin hospital.
Mrs. Porter was a homemaker and mother. She had lived in the Ora Community most of her life, and had been a resident of Huntington for over 35 years. Mrs. Porter was a member of the Huntington United Pentecostal Church.
