Born in Alabama, son of James A. and Mary Frederick. Came to Lamar County from Alabama as a laborer and farmer with his three brothers, Robert Houston, John Riley and Levi Lindsey Frederick in mid 1870?s. Married Laura C. Strange, daughter of Joseph and Martha A. Long Strange, in Lamar County Book 8, p. 197. Children were Lee C., who married Essie Davidson, in 1904; Luther R., who married Jessie Edwards, in 1905; Minnie Pearl, who married Elias William Conder, in 1911; Vie Anna, who married Lewis Elmer Reed, in 1911; Marvin E., who married Gertrude Glover; Revice A., who married Nina Walters, in 1917; Nora, who married Noah T. Brackeen, in 1916; Cora, died young; Eric, died young and Ophelia Frederick.
