Bonnie Ruth Zigo was 86 years old and went to sleep in Jesus on March 25th, 2021.

Bonnie was one of thirteen children, born to Joseph Benjamin and Fanny Lavurn Brockett, on September 25th, 1934 in the small town of Cherry Hill which is near Asher, OK.

As a child, Bonnie grew up in Seminole and attended Bowlegs High School. School activities she was a part of included playing the drums in band, basketball, and track. Additionally, Bonnie loved to sing in choir while also traveling with the Lions Club around the state to sing songs. However, one of her proudest accomplishments was that she sang in a trio with her sisters: Lettie and Margaret.

On December 29th, 1967 Bonnie married the father of her children, William George Zigo, in Gainesville, TX. Bonnie and Bill lived most of their married years in Oklahoma until Bill's passing in 1977 due to illness.

Together they had seven beautiful children, resulting in eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

A few years after the passing of Bill, Bonnie became a member of the Ardmore Seventh-Day Adventist church in 1981. She was dedicated to studying scripture, and her love of Jesus was evident by the way she loved people while also caring for anyone she met.

A focal point of Bonnie's life was serving God while also making sure to spend time with family, so she could cook and talk with them. Her most famous dishes included fried chicken and blackberry cobbler.

Bonnie is survived by her children: daughter Cheryl Penrod and husband Willard, daughter Sandy Turner and husband Jay, daughter Stephanie Povendo and husband Chris, daughter Valarie Zigo-Huebsch, son Stephan Zigo and wife Deborah, and son Daniel Zigo and wife Shea.

She is also survived by grandchildren: Billy Owens, Jerry Roskam and wife Mika, Johnny Owen and wife Lindsey, Summer Odom and husband Jason, Brandon Turner and wife Kelsi, Austin Teders and fiancé Jocelynn, Cassidy Zigo, Samantha Zigo, Nathan Povendo, Tori Huebsch, and Noah Zigo. She also has eleven great-grandchildren.

She is survived by: her brother B.J. Brockett and wife Jeannie, brother Bob Brockett, sister Margaret Reynolds, brother Cecil Brockett and wife Nona, brother Eddie Brockett and wife Shirley, and sister Teresa Williams and husband Mark.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents Joseph and Lavurn, daughter Diane Teders, brother Warren Brockett, sister Wanda Lewis, sister Vera Ashley, sister Lettie Yarrow, brother Jerry Brockett, and brother Frank Brockett.

Funeral services will be held at Ardmore Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
