Donald "Wrinks" Eugene Haight was the son of Roland Wilbur and Laura Belle (Shaffer) Haight. He was the brother of Arthur Louis Haight. Wrinks was the beloved uncle of Mary Jane Haight-Eckert. He was the husband of Lucille Theresa (Asti) Haight. They were married November 24, 1956. Lucille died June 21, 2018. Wrinks served in the US Air Force during the Korean War from January 16, 1952 to December 22, 1955 - 10th INST Sq.


--All through school Uncle Wrinks and I always looked out for each other. He was two years older than me and there was a very special bond between us. I still miss you each and every day "Uncle Wrinks." - Janie/Mary Jane

HAIGHT - ASTI

Holy Rosary Church was the scene of a pretty wedding Saturday morning at 11 o'clock when Miss Lucille Asti, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Asti and Donald Haight, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Haight, were married by the Rev. George Groucutt. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Frank Asti. Attendants were Miss Delores Asti, sister of the bride and Albert Fulton, Jr. friend of the bridegroom. The bride was attired in a white lace, full length gown and wore a white net veil. She carried a white orchid on a prayer book. Her maid of honor wore a blue floor length gown of nylon chiffon and carried a bouquet of white and pink mums. A reception was held at the bride's home for family and friends from one o'clock to six o'clock The bride was employed at Sylvania Corporation in Emporium and the bridegroom is employed by the New York and Pennsylvania Company. After a wedding trip, the couple will reside at 215 Maple Street in the Village of Rolfe.
