Millard "Mammy" LaRue Haight, Sr. was the son of Roland Wilbur and Laura Belle (Shaffer) Haight. He was the husband of Delia (Plyler) Haight. Aunt Delia died September 23, 1986.

HAIGHT.--Millard L. Haight, age 84, 221 Spring Street, Village of Rolfe, Elk County, Pennsylvania, died Sunday morning at St. Marys Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
He was born January 6, 1912 in Belltown, son of the late Roland and Laura Shaffer Haight. On November 15, 1939 in Ridgway, Elk County, Pennsylvania, he married Delia Plyler who died September 23, 1986.
Mr. Haight is survived by a son, LaRue Haight of Johnsonburg, Elk County, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Laura LaBenne and Janice, Mrs. Rudy Haller, both of St. Marys; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Norman "Deb" Haight of Johnsonburg; and a sister, Mrs. George McAlee of Waynesville, Haywood County, North Carolina.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Arthur "Inky", Paul, Richard, Donald "Wrinks" and Robert Haight; and three sisters, Doris Haight, Lois Beatty and Virginia Greiner.
He resided in Johnsonburg most of his life and attended Rolfe School. He was a member of the Rolfe Sportsmens Club and the last surviving member of the Johnsonburg Paper Tigers Baseball Team. He was a World War II veteran. He was employed by Penntech Papers for 45 years, retiring in 1974.
A funeral service for Millard L. Haight will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, Johnsonburg. The Rev. Gale D. Boocks, pastor of Johnsonburg United Methodist Church, will serve as officiant. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Ridgway. Military honors will be rendered under the direction of the Johnsonburg-Wilcox Servicemen's Detail.
Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
