WAYNESBORO – Mrs. Nannie Beatrice Puckett, 73, died at 7 a.m. today (Feb. 23, 1961) at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Thompson, Nellysford.
Born Feb. 20, 1888 in Nelson Co., she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Catherine Peary Thompson.
Survived by her husband, Luther Leonard Puckett; one son, Chesley H. Puckett, Roseland; three daughters, Mrs. Wallace Thompson, Mrs. S. C. Napier, both of Nellysford; Mrs. Clement Sprouse, Fordwick; two brothers; Vaughl Thompson, Waynesboro; Neal Thompson, Afton; three sisters, Mrs. Virgle Hughes, Waynesboro; Mrs. Susan Puckett, and Mrs. Betty Fitzgerald, both of Nellysford; also a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements.

Nannie Beatrice Thompson was the daughter of William Brookins Thompson and Virginia Frances Perry. She was married to Luther Leonard Puckett in Nelson County on December 23, 1908.
