Merl Atwood passed away Wednesday June 12, 2013 at the Casey County Hospital. He was 92.Born December 17, 1920 in Casey County, Kentucky, he is the son of the late Claude and Kate Brown Atwood. He was a farmer.Merl is the widow of Bertie Roberts Atwood , who passed away January 14, 1994.Survivors include a care-giver, Marty Cox of Liberty and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Friday June 14, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial is at South Fork Cemetery.
