Edward (Eddie) Valenzuela died Oct. 20, 2007 at his home in Boise at the age of 48. Eddie was born April 12, 1950 in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of Henry and Leonor Valenzuela. He graduated from Bishop Kelly High School and Boise State University. During his life, Eddie worked at various restaurants in several states, acquiring a vast knowledge of the culinary industry. He put his very special talents and skills to work in Boise, as the part owner and the chef of Capers Restaurant. He also had a catering business, serving the patrons of the Boise Valley. When he wasn't working, Eddie loved to fish and hunt. Eddie is survived by his mother, Leonor Matz and stepfather, Tom Matz of Boise; his sisters, Liz Young of New York, Jean Young of Germany, and Kathy Young of Colo.; and his brother, Rich Valenzuela of Calif. He was a loving son and brother and will be deeply missed. A public visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Summers Funeral Homes, 1205 W. Bannock Street, Boise. A Funeral Mass will be Friday, November 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Cathedral. Private family graveside services will be at Morris Hill Cemetery.
