THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, September 27, 1894, page 1, column 4. "Mr. and Mrs. Henry Boitnott mourn the loss of their little child, Glenn, from diphtheria last Thursday."

THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, October 4, 1894, page 5, column 2. "Henry Boitnott's daughter Clara, four years of age, has been quite sick the past week with diphtheria; but we are glad to learn that she is now well on the way to recovery. This is the second case in this family. The sad termination of the other case was mentioned in last week's paper. The three other children in the family are all well. No other cases has been reported. The prompt action of those in authority, together with the self-sacrificing co-operation of the afflicted family, leave but little danger of the spread of the disease. Such efforts in the way of public protection should not go unappreciated."
