Mrs. Genevieve Meany Lutz, 83, of Middletown, MD, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. She was the wife of the late John S. Lutz.

Born July 15, 1930 in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Eugenie Meany.

She is survived by her sons, George Lutz and wife Amy, Andrew Lutz and Matthew Lutz and wife Karen, daughter Ellen Lutz O'Rourke and husband Tim, grandchildren William Lutz, Paul Lutz, Matthew O'Rourke and Daniel O'Rourke.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Lutz.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm-8 pm on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 9701 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD at 10am on Saturday, March 22.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to H.O.M.E. - P.O. Box 10, 90 School House Road, Orland, ME 04472.
