Michael "Harmonica Mike" McClure, 73, of rural Richland, died at his home Thursday March 18, 2021.
He was born November 20, 1947, in Santa Monica, CA to Samuel H. and Rita H. Benjamin McClure.
He grew up and attended schools in California, served in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam, was a diesel and auto mechanic, a factory worker and most recently worked at Harper Brush in Fairfield. He married Julia Ann Blakeman near Richland September 28, 2015.
Mike is survived by his wife of Richland, children: Joseph McClure (Joey) of Pass Christian, Mississippi, Luke McClure (Angela), Biloxi, Mississippi and step children: Jennifer Valette, Fernley, NV, Dayne Ingle, Biloxi, Mississippi and Jessie Luke of Fairfield, 5 grandchildren and brothers and sisters: Greg McClure, Lompoc, CA, Douglas McClure (Myoung), San Francisco, CA, Stephan McClure (Leslie) and Thomas McClure (Debra), both of Susanville, CA, Marguerita Demos, Anaheim, CA, Patricia McClure, Carson City, NV, Theresa Fannen (James) and Elizabeth Walsh (Patrick) both of Susanville, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one step son Michael Valette, two brothers: William and Marty McClure and one sister, Marie McClure.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday April 10, 2021, at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Memorials may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 32986 325th Street, Richland, IA 52585.
