Enrolled Feb. 8, 1864, Springfield, Ill.
Married Alvira C. Cole, May 31, 1869, Davenport, Scott Co., Iowa
Note: In the Pension Application David stated that her maiden name was Elvira C. WICKS, but "when I married her, her name was Elvira C. Cole, a widow."
(Note: Elvira had a daughter, "Ednah Cole", 2 years old, b. Ill., 1870 census)

On the Declaration For Invalid Pension:
David Myers states (on Jan. 5, 1892) that he is 45 yrs of age, and is a resident of Coffman, Washington Co., Nebraska, that he was discharged at Louisville, Ky., July, 1865. His reason for application is for heart disease, lumbago disease of the digestive organs, kidney disease rheumatisms and atrophy of right testicle.

On the Declaration for Widow's Pension:
David Myers was discharged on July 11, 1865 and Died May 22, 1907.
On May 28, 1907, Alvira was 61 yrs of age, and lived in Kimball, Nebraska.
