Mrs. Trudie Gilbert Sims, 79, died Saturday at Scott County Nursing Home. Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home chapel with burial in Sims Cemetery. She had been a resident of Morton for the past 38 years. She was a member of Morton United Methodist Church, Morton United Methodist Women and the Pet Winstead Sunday school class. She owned and operated Sims Florist for 16 years.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Sims of Morton; brothers, Thomas Gilbert of New Orleans and Jack Gilbert of Beaumont, Texas; sister, Mrs. Daisy Shaeffer of Lancaster, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
