Christena Wilhelmina was the second child of James William Shelton and Rachel Wilhelmina Sauerman. Very little is known about her but she was remembered in family descendants lists given out at Shelton family reunions in later years in Marshalltown, Iowa. Christena died the same year as her father who perished in the final days of the Civil War fighting for the north at the Battle of Five Forks in Virginia. There is no documention (as of yet) that she is buried in Glade Cemetery, but as her parents were still living in the same area it is reasonable to assume she is buried in the same plot as her Sauermann grandparents.
