Funeral services for Miss Minnie Edgar were held Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 2 P.M. at the Megrue Funeral Home in Superior. Miss Edgar died at the Parrie Haven Rest Home in Kensington, Kan. at the age of 89 years, 5 months and two days.
Miss Edgar was born in Marion County, Iowa, on Aug. 11, 1878, the daughter of John and Kathyrn Edgar. She came with her family when a baby to Kansas, where she made her home in the Reubens and Webber communities until failing health made it necessary for her to be cared for in a nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father. After the deaths of her parents, she made a home for her brother, Lew, until his marriage.
Surviving are her three brothers, Frank of Bell, Calif., Riley of Denver, Colo., and Lew of Webber Kan., and three nieces of Bell, Calif.
Rev. Loren Silsby officiated at the service and interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
