Mercedes Taylor Centers, age 75 of Mallie, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was born on January 11, 1946, in Hindman, Kentucky to the late Ambrose Jay Taylor and Cordelia Caudill. She was the wife of McArthur "Art" Centers. Mercedes is survived by her Children: Brenda Wright of Letcher, Kentucky, Lyndon (Tammy) Gregory of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Scott (Sharon) Gregory of LittCarr, Kentucky and Penny (Les) Aber of Mallie, Kentucky; Grandchildren: Rocky, Krista, Tiffany, Shae (Dustin), Matthew (Katie), Alyssa (Trevor), Cody, Jordan and Jacob; Great-Grandchildren: Riley and Haisley; Step Grandchildren: Kyle, Penny (Michael), Austin and Zachary; A Host of Step Grandchildren, Step Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.

Mercedes was preceded in death by her Parents: Ambrose Jay Taylor and Cordelia Caudill; A host of Brothers and Sisters; Mercedes will be great missed by all that knew and loved her.

Funeral services for Mercedes Taylor Centers will be held on Tuesday June 8, 2021, at 11AM at the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Hindman. Kentucky with Daryl Newsom, Daryl Slone, Willie Crase and Scotty Halcomb officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 6, 2021, from 6PM-10PM and anytime Monday June 7, 2021 up until 10PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Pigman Cemetery in Mallie, Kentucky.
