Miriam J. Uphoff, age 87, of Morton, formerly of Metamora, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at Morton Terrace Care Center.
She was born June 29, 1920, in Washburn, Ill., to David and Amy (Gifford) Braun. She married Fred A. Uphoff Feb. 11, 1941, in Lowpoint, Ill. He passed away May 23, 2001.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen Uphoff and Robert (and Connie) Uphoff, both of Metamora; and one daughter, Amy (and Richard) Waldschmidt of Roanoke.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Miriam was a homemaker and a member of the former VFW post in Metamora.
Burial will be in Buckingham Cemetery in Washburn, Ill.
