Duffey, a former resident of this place, and a preacher in the Friends church, died at the home of her son, Ely Duffey near Mooresville, last Sunday, and was brought here for burial at Pleasant View cemetery Tuesday. Mrs. Duffey was one of the charter members of the W. R. C. here several years ago. She was seventy-two years of age [sic-92].

She was the daughter of Samuel Masters, and Letha Mahoney, both born in Virginia. Her son Eli was the informant. Burial was at Zionsville, Indiana {Pleasant View, or Hutton Cemetery], on April 1, 1902, John H. Rusie of Mooresville, undertaker.
