Mrs. Abby M. Duffey, a former resident of this place, and a preacher in the Friends church, died at the home of her son, Ely Duffey near Mooresville, last Sunday, and was brought here for burial at Pleasant View cemetery Tuesday. Mrs. Duffey was one of the charter members of the W. R. C. here several years ago. She was seventy-two years of age [sic-92].

Indiana State Board of Health Certificate of Death No. 7, page 47, for Brown Township, Morgan County records Aby Duffey, white female, age 91y, 6m, 5ds, and the widow of Michael Duffey, died about 11 a.m. on March 30, 1902 at the home of her son Eli, due to "Pneumonia." She was the daughter of Samuel Masters, and Letha Mahoney, both born in Virginia. Her son Eli was the informant. Burial was at Zionsville, Indiana {Pleasant View, or Hutton Cemetery], on April 1, 1902, John H. Rusie of Mooresville, undertaker.
