Synnovi was the daughter of Erik Mikkelson Meland and Segri Surjersdauter Selji. She came to this country in 1845 with her parents..She was only two months old.She married Jens W Johnson who was born in Stoughton Wisc.on the 12th of Dec 1870. They were the parents of six children,Victor and Andrew were born in Wisconsin.Martin, Lena,Sever and Emma were born in Freeborn Co., Minnesota.
