DOROTHY GARCEAU

Dorothy Garceau, age 75, of 416 Park Lane, Mishicot, died Thursday, May 10,2001 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday, May 14 ,2001 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Tisch Mills, with the Reverend Joseph Coopmans, O. Praem, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Dorothy was born September 23, 1925 in the town of Mishicot, to the late Wenzel and Mary Aulik Shebesta and has been a lifelong area residnet. She married William B. Garceau November 27, 1954 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Tisch Mills. He preceded her in death November 1, 1995. she was employed by the Bertler Berry Farm and for the Baugniet Mink Ranch. Dorothy was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic church in Tisch Mills. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing, playing sheepshead, gardening and making her famous pickles. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Jo and Scott Shimek, of rural Two Rivers; Janine and Terry Nehring, of Mishicot. One son and two daughters-in-law, Tome and Lori Garceau, of Two Rivers, and Nancy Garceau, of Manitowoc. Ten grandchildren, Nathan and Edward Shimek, Kenzie and Geoff Nehring, Kelly and Christopher Garceau, Tim (Heather) Garceau,Mike Garceau and his fiance Jennie Herrmann, Sarah Garceau, and her special friend Jerry Stodola, and Joe Garceau. One great grandson, Korey Garceau, Brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law Lucille Shebesta, of Denmark, Helen Shebesta, of Manitowoc, Shirley and Herb Kent, of Manitowoc, Dorothy Garceau, of Two Rivers, Lorraine Garceau, of the town of Two Rivers, Marilyn Garceau, of Manitowoc, and Eugene Ducat of Manitowoc, nieces and nephews. she was preceded in death by one son, William D. Garceau, three sisters, Lillian Ording, Frances Boose, and Delores Kornley. Three brothers, Raymond, Joseph, and Alfred Shebesta. Sisters-in-law, Kathryn Shebesta, and Alice Ducat. Brothers-in-law,Edmund, Roger, and Robert Garceau Sr.
Relatives and friends may call after 9 am on Monday at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Tisch Mills until the time of services at 11 am. There will be no Sunday evening visitation. The Lambert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Garceau Family with arrangements.
