LeRoy Brammer was the fourth child (of five) of Edward Anderson and Arrie Elizabeth Lewis Brammer. He died at 8:15 am, 29 Oct 1983 at his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was buried on 4 Nov 1983 in the Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, Madera County, California. Leroy and Virginia were married on 23 Jan 1951 in Fresno, Fresno County California. After thirteen years of marriage, they were divorced in 1965.
Leroy was inducted into the Army on February 12, 1951, and served in Korea. He was assigned to Company E, 2nd Battalion. On October 11, 1951, bullets to the right arm wounded him. On November 26, 1951, he was wounded a second time from shrapnel to the right Knee. On November 17, 1952 he was discharged as a Corporal (T). On December 7, 1953 Leroy was recalled to active duty, and served in Germany. It was during this time that he became Squad Leader of the 592d QM Co. (R&M)(SMBL) APO 34. On November 24, 1955, he was released from active duty.
