ADAMO, Gloria - In loving memory of Gloria Adamo, February 26th, 1932 - April 13th, 2014. It is with tremendous sadness and loss, the family announces with sorrow her death at the Timmins and District Hospital on April 13th, 2014 surrounded by her family. Gloria was the cherished sister of Rita (late Domenic) Rubino. Treasured sister-in-law of Astride Adamo and brother-in-law of Denis Caron. Dear Aunt of Robert (Joanne) Rubino; Frank Rubino (Candice Taylor), Linda (Brian) Robertson, Brenda (Ron) Mallette, Franca (Dexter) Wheeler, Dina and Deanna Adamo. Great aunt to Domenic, Jenna, Frank and John Rubino, Leanna Caron (Raffaello D'Andrea), Brennan Robertson and Jennifer née Robertson (Sean) Miller, Katrina Mallette, Adam and Lorain Roberts and Jessica Adamo. Great-great aunt to Ava. Gloria was predeceased by her parents Frank Adamo (1964) and Rose (1970), brothers Joseph (1991) (Late Lorain), John (1990) sisters Gina (2003) (Late Doug) Fretz, Helen (2007), niece Gail Roberts (née Adamo) 2003 and Colleen Adamo (2008). Gloria was born in South Porcupine and was a life-time resident of the Porcupine Camp having been employed by Porcupine General Hospital for approximately 41 years mostly as an X-Ray Technician. She had been a long time member of the Dante Club ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking for her family and many friends. She also made sure all of her feathered and animal visitors were well fed. The family would like to thank the nurses on the Medical 2nd floor at the hospital Dr. Sonia DiTullio and Dr. Eric Paquette. A special thanks to the Filipino Society especially Marietta and Mary Jane and a heartfelt thank you to her dear friend Sandra Cattarello. Donations to Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Joachim's Parish on Thursday April 17th, 2014 at 11:30 A.M.
