Chester Notes

Mary Luke, a widowed sister of John H. Allison of the Allison school house district, who has heretofore been employed at Akron, O., will in the future make her home at her brother's place. Mr. Allison recently buried his wife and his sister will keep house for him in the future.

John H. Allison, 73, farmer, died Saturday at 11:45 p.m. at his home near the Allison school, Hancock county, following a several months illness. Mr. Allison was born in Hancock county, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Allison, and spent his lifetime in that district. His wife died about 31 years ago. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Rose Jackson of near the Allison school, and a grandson, Glenn Harpold of near
Chester. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Stewart funeral home at Hookstown by Rev. T. Milton Gladden, pastor of the Chester Methodist church. Burial will be in Locust Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

John H. Allison, 73 Hancock Native, Dies

John H. Allison, 73, farmer died Saturday at 11:45 p.m., at his home near the Allison school house following a lengthly illness. Mr. Allison was born in Hancock county a son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Allison and spent his life time in that district. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Rose Jackson of near the Allison school and a grandson, Glenn Harpold of near Pughtown. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock in the Stewart Funeral home at Hookstown, Pa., with Rev. Milton Gladden of the First Methodist church officiating. Interment was made in the Locust Hill cemetery.
