Arno was born on December 15, 1942 in the Town of Mittchell, Sheboygan County, son of the late John W. and Leona A. (Schneider) Bennin. On June 13, 1964 he married the former Susan M. Geerdts at St. John's UCC in Manitowoc. Arno was employed with Weyerhaeuser in Manitowoc for 47 years. He was a Brewers, Packers and Milwaukee Bucks fan. Arno also enjoyed airplanes and going to EAA. He was a volunteer for Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, for many years.
Survivors include his wife: Susan M. Bennin; two sons: Roger W. (Claran) Bennin, Robert J. Bennin; two grandchildren: Brittany M. Bennin and Trevor J. Bennin; his dog: Katie; one brother: Willard Bennin; two sisters: Betty (Paul) Koplanski and Lyla Horbeck; and two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Fredric L. (Jane) Geerdts, John R. (Vicki) Geerdts and Peggy E. (Ray) Fuller. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter: April Marie Bennin; one brother: John (Doris) Bennin; three sisters: Elaine (Orlando) Gebhardt, Lorraine Otto, Evangeline (Teddy) Glasow; and father-in-law and mother-in-law: Arthur R. and Frances G. Geerdts.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. Arno will be laid to rest at Knollwood Memorial Park, Town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
