JOHN BENNIN, 62, FOUND DEAD THIS MORNING AT HOME
Plymouth—John Bennin, 62, was found dead this morning at his home in town Mitchell. Coroner Wesley Van Zanten was called to the home to investigate the case. He reported that Mr. Bennin had died at about 8 a.m. after hanging himself.
The deceased was born on June 23, 1882, in town Russell, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bennin. In 1906 he was married to Miss Anna Oesau who died in 1915. In 1927 he married Miss Leona Schneider. The couple lived in New Holstein for 17 years. During that time Mr. Bennin was employed by the Lauson company. Prior to moving to the farm in town Mitchell they lived on farm in town Greenbush and town Russell.
Among the survivors are his wife and the following children; Mrs. R. C. Wriedt of Kewaunee, Ill., Evangeline, Elaine, John Jr., Betty Jane, Lorraine, Willard, Lila Rose and Roger at home. One grandchild survives with four brothers and three sisters; they are William of Kaukauna; Christ and Charles of Elkhart Lake; Fred and Mrs. William Schneider of Chilton; Mrs. Math Wilmun of Milwaukee and Mrs. Christ Glaffow of Hilbert. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at the Wittkopp Funeral home in Plymouth. Burial will be made in the New Holstein Cemetery.
