Mary Starrett, 93, passed away on June 23, 2021 in Jasper, Florida. Mrs. Starrett was born in Irwin County, Georgia on November 15, 1927. She moved to the Jacksonville area in 1940 from Valdosta and was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School class of '47. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Telephone Pioneers of America and retired from Southern Bell in 1989 after 33 years of service. Mrs. Starrett was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert Starrett; a brother: Buddy Brown and a sister: Ethel Stahlecker (Chuck). She is survived by a sister-in-law: Pat Brown, several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery (Gate #5) with Rev. George Kratochvil officiating.
