Peter K. Kreiling, 62, Phillips, died on Monday, June 12, 2017., at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

He was born on May 10, 1955, in Phillips, the son of Clarence and Margaret (Magnusson) Kreiling.

He attended and graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1973. Following high school he moved to Milwaukee and worked in construction from 1973 to 1978.

He was married to Darlene on May 1, 1976, in Union Grove, Wi. They later divorced.

He returned to Phillips in 1978 and was employed by Lionite Hardboard until the time of his retirement in 2007.

He was then married to Nancy Brereton on July 26, 2008, in Phillips.

In his free time he was actively involved in volunteer work throughout the community including repairs at St. John Lutheran Church,

And making furniture for his family. His current project was constructing a new crib for his future grandchild.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Phillips.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, Phillips, by 2 sons: Mike (Rebecca) Kreiling, LaCrosse, Wi., and Nick (Jennifer) Kreiling, DePere, Wi. by 1 Step-Son, Ryan (Ashley) Brereton, Rhinelander, Wi., by 1 Step Daughter: Kala Brereton ( Dillon Nemec), Eau Claire, Wi., 4 grandchildren: Sela, Dominic, Gavin, and Lauren, by 8 Brothers and Sisters: Donna Dragovich, Phillips, Gary (Shirley) Kreiling, Sierra Vista, Az., Kay (Stan) Peterson, Centerville, Minn., Thomas (Holly) Kreiling, Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Kevin (Pam) Kreiling, Phillips, Burt (Judy) Kreiling, Cedar Grove, Wi., Renee (Tom) Lewic and Steve (Terry) Kreiling, all of Phillips, by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, by 2 sisters: Nadia Grulkowski and Connie Kreiling, by 2 brothers: Duane and Dennis, by 1 infant brother David Lee, and by 1 brother-in-law Tom Dragovich.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church, Phillips, with Pastor Glenn Sokolowski officiating.

The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
