Margaret Marie Kreiling, age 94, Phillips, died in the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips while under the care of Flambeau Home Health and Hospice. She was born in Prentice on March 10, 1915, the daughter of Carl Robert and Kathryn (Reumann) Magnuson.

She was a 1932 graduate of Prentice High School, a 1935 graduate of Price County Normal School, and then attended Wisconsin State Teachers College in Stevens Point.

Margaret was married to Clarence Kreiling in Prentice on Oct. 19, 1935. She worked as a seamstress for many years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Pleasant View Nursing Home Auxiliary, the Priscillas Homemakers, and served as a 4-H leader. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, working jigsaw puzzles, craft hobbies, and in later life enjoyed travel with Clarence. She is survived by nine children, Donna (Thomas) Dragovich of Phillips, Gary (Shirley) of Mountain Home, Ark., Kay (Stanley) Peterson of Centerville, Minn., Thomas (Holly Lahn) of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Kevin (Pam) of Phillips, Burton (Judy) of Phillips, Maureen (Tom) Lewic of Phillips, Peter (Nancy) of Phillips, and Steven (Terry) also of Phillips. Margaret is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; by two sisters, Joann Daily of Friendship, and Sylvia (Max) LaMaide of Wakefield, Mich.; and by one brother, Ralph Magnuson of Prentice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, on Dec. 6, 1987; by three sons, Clarence Duane, David Lee and Dennis; by two daughters, Connie and Nadia; and by two brothers, Robert and Norman Magnuson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at St. John Lutheran Church in Phillips with Rev. Thomas Reiff officiating. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Phillips. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

Margaret's family suggests that memorials take the form of a donation to St. John Lutheran Church, Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home, or Flambeau Home Health and Hospice
