Daughter and fourth child of the late Robert S. Stroup and Nellie Mattics Stroup, she was the widow of Dennis "Pike" Abell (married on September 2, 1950). Additionally, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Stroup, Gene Stroup and Jay Stroup. She was survived by a son, a daughter, two sisters, four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and an extended family of relatives and friends. A Funeral Mass was held on July 8, 2021, at Saint Teresa Catholic Church in Titusville, FL. Her graveside service was held on July 9, 2021.
