Robert Dziekanski of Gliwice, Poland passed away in tragic circumstances at the Vancouver Airport on October 14, 2007 at 40 years of age. Survived by his mother Zofia Cisowski (Kamloops), stepfather Peter Cisowski (Logan Lake), Uncle Zygmund Dziekanski (Poland) and Uncle Zdzislaw Dziekanski (Poland).
Robert was born in Bielawa, Poland. Graduated from Technical High School as a Miner in Gliwice, Poland. Later on he upgraded his trade and worked as a construction worker before coming to Canada.
A Memorial Service took place at Kamloops Funeral Home, in Kamloops, BC on Saturday, November 17, 2007.
