Jewell Harrell was born on July 2, 1906 in Tennessee, the son of Leaman/Leeman Harrell (ca 1859– ) and Lillie (Burgess) Harrell (1872–1919).
He was married about 1926 to Annie Lee Smith (ca 1906- ).
An Insulator at Tennessee Products and living at #9-A University Courts in Nashville, Jewell was 56 years old, married and diabetic when he died of acute renal failure on September 24, 1962 at Nashville General Hospital.
Survivors included his wife Annie, daughter Mrs Clara Mai Mann of Nashville, sons Charles Douglas Harrell of Pinckneyville, Illinois, Phillip Morris and Paul Lee Harrell of Nashville, nine grandchildren and a number of sisters and brothers.
Funeral arrangements were made by Buena Vista Funeral Home, and burial was on September 26th in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
