Dewey H Trenham, son of John and the late Cora E Spencer Trenham, passed away at Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg, Thursday morning July 14, after an illness of only four days, following an operation for appendicitis. He was born in Talcottville September 22, 1897 and with the exception of about two years which time he spent in the Army, had resided in the place. He served at Camp Mead Mo. 63rd Infantry and it was while at camp that he contracted many illnesses which resulted in five operations from which he never fully recovered and was discharged from the Army April 1, 1920. He had spent two year in various hospitals. He returned home and remained until September 1920 when he entered Canton College of Agriculture which he was still attending at the time of his death. He was a member of the Zeta Phi fraternity. He received his early education in Boonville High School. The funeral was held from his late home Saturday at 1:30 pm the Rev Mr Christenson officiating. The bearers were from the American Legion in Boonville. He leaves to mourn, besides his father, the following brothers and sisters: Arch and Spencer of Talcottville, Frank of Felts Mills, Caroline of Talcottville, Mrs Clinton Seymour, Martinsburg, Mrs Leroy Arthur, Port Leyden and Bonnie Bell of Syracuse. Interment was made in the family lot at Talcottville.
