STEFANIA HOROSIEWICZ
Mrs. Stefania (Klekotka) Horosiewicz, 91, of Granite City, ill for one year, died at her home at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, 1983.
Born in Poland, Mrs. Horsiewicz came to the country in 1918 and lived in this area since 1920. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
Her husband, Anthony Horosiewicz died July 8, 1949.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Peter (Frances) Dugan, Wood River; Mrs. Leo (Gertrude) Roth, Granite City; Mrs. Frank (Cecelia) Becker, Florissant, Mo.; Mrs. Martin (Eleanor) Roth, DuQuoin, Ill.; two sons, Leonard Chorosevic, Granite City and Jerome Chorosevic, Bristol, Va.; 24 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Henry Schmidt will conduct family graveside services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville Township.
Memorial are requested for the Catholic Children's Home in Alton to be used for treats and toys for the children there. There will be no visitation. Irwin Chapel for Funerals, temporarily located at 615 Madison Ave., Madison, is in charge of arrangements.
