RUTHER-GLEN, VA.- Aretta Beatrice Hutchinson, 86, of 224 Cedar Ridge Dr., Ruther-Glen, and formerly of 2312 Jefferson St., Bluefield, died Friday, April 5, 2002 at the residence of her daughter, Carolyn Coutts in Ruther-Glen, Va.
Born Aug. 3, 1915 in Ruth ( Mercer County), she was a daughter of the late James Tabor and Katherine Barrett Tabor. Mrs. Hutchinson had been a resident of Ruther-Glen for six years and was a retired manager of a retail store. She was a member of the Grand Lodge Society B of LFE and a member of the College Avenue Baptist Church in Bluefield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Stone Hutchinson; and a son, Warren A. Hutchinson,
Survivors include daughter, Carolyn Hutchinson-Coutts and husband Fred of Ruther-Glen; son, George L. Hutchinson and wife, Pat of Gainesville, Va.; sisters, Audrey Stepp and husband, Hubert, and Louise Hill and husband, Hampton, all of Bluewell; brother Herbert Tabor and wife Eilene of New Springfield, Oh.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Rev. Larry Ramey officiating.
Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Mausoleum, Bluewell.
Grandsons, nephews and friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
