ROBERT K. WEBSTER SR.

Robert K. Webster Sr., age 92, of 3721 Adams St., Two Rivers, died unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, Feb. 28, 2007, with his family at his side, at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Robert was born Oct. 14, 1914, in Rushford. Minn., a son of the late Archibald M. and Erma Keller Webster. He attended grade school in Winona, Minn., and was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers. He furthered his education at the Philadelphia Textile College, graduating in 1935. On Feb. 19, 1944, he married Lois Cochenet at Wabeno. Mr. Webster was a shareholder and past president of Crescent Woolen Mills Company of Two Rivers, and he played a vital role in the growth of the company for over five decades. After his retirement, Bob and Lois enjoyed wintering in Florida, and spending their summers at Riley's Bay in Door County. Bob was a former licensed pilot and enjoyed flying; he also enjoyed fishing, golfing and boating. R.K. was the oldest and longest member of the Two Rivers Elks Lodge 1380, and he was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife: Lois; three sons and daughters-in-law: Robert (Rick) K. and Barb Webster Jr. of Riley's Bay; John and Karen Webster, Guy and Lori Webster, all of Two Rivers; two granddaughters: Kristin and Chelsea Webster; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Charles Webster Sr., William and Nan Webster, all of Two Rivers; one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law: Betty Webster, Marco Island, Fla.; and Bill Groessl of Arizona; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother: Leland Webster, and one sister: Jean Groessl.
At R.K.'s request, no services will be held. A late spring dinner will be held for family, close friends and business associates.
